Identify an Andersen Door Before Checking a Smart Lock
Record the Andersen series, product ID, panel roles, handing, and lock mechanism before checking a smart-lock option.

Check manufacturer, panel, mechanism, and material details before deciding whether a smart lock can operate a patio or special door.
A patio-door brand or style does not tell you what a smart lock must move. Hinged, folding, sliding, glass, and apartment-entry systems can use different panels, bolts, handles, cylinders, or electrical controls. Identify the installed mechanism first, then check whether the chosen lock operates every action the door needs.
Treat each manufacturer’s dimensions, product scope, and operating instructions as specific to that model and configuration. A compatible app or advertised product family does not by itself prove that the installed door will close, latch, and lock as required.
