Andersen Entry Doors, Multipoint Locks, and Yale Assure Options
Understand Andersen’s named Yale Assure options, separate active and passive hardware, and verify the exact installed door before purchase.

Andersen lists Yale Assure options for named entry-door, hinged-patio, and folding-door families. That product-line statement is a starting point, not proof that a particular installed door has the right hardware, preparation, or operating sequence.
Match the listed option to the actual door
Andersen’s door-hardware page names A-Series and E-Series hinged patio doors, entry doors, and folding doors for Yale Assure. It also says hardware is sold separately and options vary by product. Identify the exact unit before treating the listing as a fit result; the Product ID guide explains what to record.
Andersen listings describe different active trim variants:
| Part | Listed setup | What the listing does not prove |
|---|---|---|
| 9173096 | Touchscreen and Z-Wave; its listing says a Z-Wave bridge is required. | Current bridge availability, partner-service support, or fit on a particular door. |
| 9183851 | Touchscreen, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi; its listing names A-Series and E-Series hinged patio, folding, and entry-door paths. | Identical feature support across countries or exact installed preparation. |
| 9173104 | A separate Yale Assure handle listed for the passive panel on double doors. | That the active lock motor operates the passive panel or completes its sequence. |
Use the part number shown on the actual product and verify that the current installation guide covers your door type and thickness. A smart-home integration name or product-line listing does not establish mechanical fit or current regional service.
Check the complete locking sequence
Mechanical and electronic checks are separate. Confirm the lock’s door preparation, panel roles, handing, required handles or bolts, and any spacer specified by the exact guide. The YRM276/YRM476 Andersen guide says the hookbolts must be manually locked before Yale Assure can lock the deadbolt on its named 200/400 Series hinged-patio path. Read the hookbolt check for that specific limitation.
Before purchase, verify the exact trim, installed mechanism, full door operation, and the bridge or controller needed for the features you intend to use. If the product listing and the unit’s guide do not match, keep the answer conditional and ask Andersen or a qualified installer.
